Dear Friends & Family in Christ,
1) You may download the audio of Danny Nalliah of Catch the Fire Ministries speaking at the recent Round Table Forum on Tuesday 24 October at NSW Parliament House on 'Terrorism and the Death of Democracy' from the following link: http://w11.easy-share.com/657820.html

2) Just a reminder that on Friday 3rd November 2006, we're calling on all concerned Christians across our nation to come together in prayer to cry out unto our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for His divine intervention across the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit!

The next Rise Up Australia prayer meeting in Melbourne (Caulfield), also on Friday 3rd November, will be completely dedicated to praying for the Breaking of the Drought across Australia and the upcoming Victorian State Elections on the 25th November.

3) Would you please circulate this following letter to all your contacts and ask that they take the short amount of time needed to vote on the petition to assist the Australian Christian Lobby in stopping human embryo cloning!
Dear Pastor,
We are currently faced with legislation to allow cloning that is an absolute affront to the Biblical view of life and its creation. Unless we oppose this strongly we will be faced with an increasingly utilitarian approach to life and a significant weakening of the principle of the sanctity of life that has underpinned much of the best of the humanity of Western and Christian society.
Those working on lobbying on this issue have made excellent progress in the last few weeks, despite a concerted push by science and the pharmaceutical industry. An important element in influencing the vote of Senators during the debate expected on 6 - 9 Nov, will be the presentation of a petition that opposes cloning.
A VERY EASY facility to add names to the petition is available at the following link. www.makeastand.org.au It will literally take only a minute to register and will be an important act in preserving the Christian character of our society.
Could you please send this email out on your church or organisational email list and encourage people to register and forward the site to friends. Could I also ask that you promote the site in your church service on 29 Oct, as we need to close the petition by 1 Nov at the latest.
Thank you and God Bless,
Jim Wallace AM - Managing Director of Australian Christian Lobby
Your Brother in Christ,
Danny Nalliah

Airline bans woman from wearing crossLONDON, England – British Airways has banned a Christian woman from wearing a cross on a necklace to work, a British newspaper reports.

The Daily Mail reports that Heathrow check-in worker Nadia Eweida, who is a Coptic Christian and whose father is Egyptian and mother English, was sent home after refusing to remove the crucifix that breached British Airways' dress code.

The move has been criticized by Christian groups and Eweida's member of parliament, Vince Cable.

The Mail says Eweida, who has an unblemished record during seven years at BA, is suing her employer for religious discrimination after being suspended from work without pay for two weeks.

Eweida, 55, from Twickenham, told the paper: "I will not hide my belief in the Lord Jesus. British Airways permits Muslims to wear a headscarf, Sikhs to wear a turban and other faiths religious apparel.

"Only Christians are forbidden to express their faith. I am a loyal and conscientious employee of British Airways, but I stand up for the rights of all citizens."
Kim Jong-il ethnic 'cult' killing 'racially impure'A growing body of testimony is vindicating President Bush's charge that North Korea is a member of the "axis of evil" – refugees are reporting the killing of disabled infants and forced abortions of babies believed fathered by Chinese men in an obsessive program based on mystical notions of Korean racial superiority.

At a forum in Seoul, South Korea, several refugees from the north described a policy of state eugenics carried out with extreme repression.

"There are no people with physical defects in North Korea," said Ri Kwang-chol, a North Korean doctor who escaped last year. Babies with defects are killed by medical staff and quickly buried, he told the London Times.

Among the "physical defects" that will get a baby killed – even one in the womb – is being half-Chinese.
Police want spy planes to fight anti-social behaviourA police force is considering using unmanned aerial surveillance drones to fly over troubled local council housing estates to help tackle anti-social behaviour in respective areas.

The police force for Merseyside, in western England, has formed a new Anti-Social Behaviour Task Force which will have a budget of one million pounds (1.85 million dollars, 1.5 million euros), and a staff of 137, drawn from both the local police and fire services, The Sunday Telegraph reported.
NATO chief eyes Afghan success despite surge in violence LONDON (AFP) - NATO's top commander has voiced confidence that the military alliance in Afghanistan will prevail despite a surge of insurgent violence and deadly fighting in the south of the country.

Speaking at the opening of a new intelligence-gathering centre on Monday, General James Jones notably expressed concern about the porous Afghan-Pakistan border across which Taliban fighters enter and leave violence-wracked Afghanistan.

"We all feel the stress and strain of ongoing operations," he said, but added: "Everybody's working very hard to make sure that we have the right amount of forces at the right place at the time."
Christians 'too evangelical' for Christian schoolThe Alliance Defense Fund has written a letter to a "Christian" college asking officials there to reconsider their decision to ban several national and international Christian student organizations because the groups are too evangelical. Georgetown University, which boasts a tradition of more than 200 years of Jesuit and Catholic teachings, recently sent letters to half a dozen evangelical Christian organizations telling them they no longer are welcome. "Now I've seen derecognition letters before, but this one takes the cake," David French, the senior legal counsel for the ADF, said of the Georgetown University decision. "Blessings and may God's peace be on you! … Now get off campus!"
Immigration controversial this electionSALEM - Four years ago, none of Oregon's candidates for governor wanted to talk about the half-million immigrants crossing into the United States each year - thousands of whom were making their way into Oregon. Things have changed. An estimated 12 million illegal immigrants now live in the United States, including up to 175,000 in Oregon. That's helped make immigration a hot topic nationally and in the state - where the issue is producing some of the sharpest barbs in this year's race between Democratic Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Republican challenger Ron Saxton. Saxton pushed the issue the hardest, accusing Kulongoski's government of enabling illegal immigrants to use driver's licenses to gain taxpayer services and to vote - and vowing to make sure immigration laws are enforced.
DO YOUNG PEOPLE WANT MICROCHIP PAYMENT IMPLANTS? NOT REALLY.A breathless report in yesterday's UK Daily Mail proclaimed that "young shoppers want to pay with chip in skin." While this headline is certainly explosive (it got the attention of the Drudge report), it is also utterly preposterous. If you read the article, you will quickly discover that young people do NOT want to "pay with a chip in the skin." Indeed, 92% of them said they did not. Picking up a survey in which virtually all respondents say they would NOT do something and reporting it as a ringing endorsement is misleading journalism, plain and simple. The Daily Mail should be ashamed.
New system tracks passengers at airportsBUDAPEST, Hungary, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- New technology to track airport passengers through radio chips in their boarding passes is to be tested next month in Hungary. The system, known as Optag and funded by the European Union, uses panoramic cameras and radio frequency identification, or RFID, chips with a 10- to 20-meter broadcast range. The chips will likely be attached to boarding passes and readers scattered throughout airport waiting areas so officials can track passengers meter-by-meter and second-by-second.
Taxpayer dollars support U.S.-Mexico merger plotWASHINGTON – The master plan for merging the U.S., Mexico and Canada is being devised in American University's Center for North American Studies whose faculty is subsidized by the U.S. State Department through the Fulbright Program. For example, joining the center this fall as a visiting chairman in North American studies is Canadian Donald Avery, professor emeritus in the history department at the University of Western Ontario. He arrives at American University through the Fulbright Program, funded through the U.S. State Department. The university's Center for North American Studies is headed by Robert A. Pastor, the architect of a plan for a North American Union modeled after the European Union – complete with its own currency, the Amero, replacing the dollar. "The Center for North American Studies (CNAS) at American University aims to educate a new generation of students to begin a North American journey comparable to that begun in Europe five decades ago," explains the center's website. "The center examines the differences and shared characteristics of Canada, Mexico and the United States; compares the North American experiment with Europe's; and challenges students and faculty to imagine a continental future."
U.S. aircraft on watch along U.S.-Canada borderGREAT FALLS, Mont. - Blackhawk helicopters and interceptor jets have begun patrolling Montana airspace along the U.S.-Canada border, and American officials say unmanned drones could be deployed as early as next year. But the U.S. is playing down the new security measure, claiming it has little to do with Canadians but more to do with the threat of terrorists using Canada as a staging point for attacks in America.
U.N. Agency: 30 Countries Could Soon Have Nuclear Weapons VIENNA, Austria — The head of the U.N. nuclear agency warned Monday that as many as 30 countries could soon have technology that would let them produce atomic weapons "in a very short time," joining the nine states known or suspected to have such arms.Speaking at a conference on tightening controls against nuclear proliferation, Mohamed ElBaradei said more nations are "hedging their bets" by developing technology that is at the core of peaceful nuclear energy programs but could quickly be switched to making weapons.
Surprising Stats in New Church ResearchST LOUIS, MO (ANS) -- Attendance at American churches is less than half of what we have believed in the past, according to Dave Olson, director of church planting for the Evangelical Covenant Church, and director of the American Church Research Project. According to a news release from Mission America Coalition, Olson addressed the Mission America Coalition annual conference on its closing day with groundbreaking new research about the state of the American church. Instead of relying on limited survey data which is then extrapolated to the entire population, Olson has worked for years to build a database of actual recorded attendance in over 300,000 churches across America.
Speed through the checkout with just a wave of your armIT MAY sound like a sci-fi fantasy but shoppers may one day be able to pay their grocery bills using a microchip implanted in their body. The idea is already catching on with today’s iPod generation. According to research released today by the Institute for Grocery Distribution (IGD), a retail think-tank, almost one in ten teenagers and one in twenty adults are willing to have a microchip implanted to pay shop bills and help to prevent card or identity fraud and muggings.
High-tech school security is on the riseEach morning, the 16,000 students in the Spring Independent School District in suburban Houston swipe their ID tags as they climb onto the school bus. A radio frequency tag tracks them, as it does when they arrive at school and as they leave the building. Nearly 1,000 cameras watch them all day. Every visitor — parents, volunteers, the guy who fills the Coke machine — must surrender his or her driver's license to a secretary who checks it against a national database of sex offenders. This fall, nearly one in three schools literally trap visitors inside a "secure vestibule," a bulletproof glass room, until they're checked out.
Ahmadinejad's latest: 'Satan inspires Bush'Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes Iran will be victorious in its nuclear row with the West because he is "in relation with God," while President Bush is inspired by Satan. Ahmadinejad was speaking to a group of supporters at a mosque in the Iranian capital, Tehran, according to media reports. "We say that we will be victorious," he said. "One day somebody asked me whether I was in relation with somebody when I say that we will be victorious. I answered: 'Yes, I am in relation with God.'" His comments come as Tehran faces the prospect of United Nations sanctions over its failure to halt uranium enrichment. The United States maintains Iran's nuclear program could be diverted to making nuclear bombs.
Rabbis split on Temple Mount synagogue planBut, according to Aviner, Kook made a clear distinction between the Land of Israel and the Temple Mount. "Rabbi Kook taught that Israel must be physically built by the Jewish people, while the Temple Mount would be rebuilt by God - whatever that means - when the Jewish people were ready." Aviner said that improving ourselves and our society must precede the building of the Temple. "By building a just society we bring nearer the building of the Temple," said Aviner.
ISRAEL RAISES PROSPECT OF WAR IN 2007 TEL AVIV [MENL] -- For the first time in more than a decade, Israel's military has raised the prospect of a Middle East war.Military sources said the Intelligence Corps has warned of the possibility of war in 2007. The sources said the corps, in its annual intelligence assessment, has notified the General Staff that Syria represented the greatest danger of war over the next year."The main message was that the chance of war with Syria in 2007 was greater than during 2006," a source said. "This does not mean that it will happen. It means that there is a reasonable change of it taking place."
Hamas: Israel's tanks will be destroyed The military wing of Hamas announced Monday evening that it had completed its preparations towards a possible all-out conflict with Israel should the IDF launch a ground offensive inside Gaza. A spokesman for the organization warns that "the fighters of the al-Qassam brigades will not have mercy on your cowardly soldiers. Your destroyed tanks will become the eternal testimony of your failure and of your running away from the Strip." The statement was made at a time when the IDF has evidence showing that dozens of advanced anti-tank missiles have been smuggled into Gaza. http://gristmill.grist.org/print/2006/9/19/11408/1106?show_comments=no
2nd warning for Muslims to leave U.S. before attackWASHINGTON – Another Pakistani journalist is reporting receiving another threat – this one from a senior Taliban leader – warning all Muslims to leave the U.S. in anticipation of a major terrorist attack before the end of Ramadan. The head of the Islamabad-based al-Quds Center reported receiving an audio message from Mullah Masoom Afghani urging U.S. Muslims to get out of the country "because Allah's punishment would fall on America in the month of Ramadan." Muslims are observing Ramadan this year Sept. 24 to Oct. 23.
Hamas debates attacks on U.S.JERUSALEM – Members of Hamas are debating whether to carry out attacks against the U.S. in the Middle East following America's support for the rival Fatah party of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, according to a report yesterday in Time Magazine. The Time report quoted several anonymous Hamas sources explaining clandestine meetings were held in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to discuss the possibility of targeting the U.S. due to its perceived "one-sided" support of Israel and reported calls for Abbas to dissolve the Hamas-led Palestinian government. The report said the Israeli intelligence estimate is that for now Hamas will restrain from targeting the U.S., but if its government is toppled such restraint could dissipate.

Terror suspect contributed to school 'religion guidelines'A man arrested as a terror suspect for allegedly trying to transport $340,000 from a group tied to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, and who reputedly had connections to Osama bin Laden, helped write the "Religious Expression in Public Schools" guidelines issued by President Clinton during his tenure in office. And that could explain why students at a California school were told as part of their required classes they would become Muslims and pray to Allah – and a federal judge approved that, and why an Oregon school this year is delivering similar lessons to its students, as WND has reported.

The NATO alliance in Afghanistan has been a problem since Shayes announced her book. Canada has always used not enough troops or equipment to stay out of NATO wars, but, after the casualties has asked for more NATO troops and equipment. Other countries are now using Canada's excuse not to help. This is where NATO has been vulnerable. It probably will hold, but the Iraq timetable is being used as an excuse for Canada NATO pullout.

The excuse of using an Iraq pullout timetable for Canada to leave NATO Afghaistan began when Shayes on the intelligence committee requested an Iraq timetable from Bush and received an 18 month answer the next day. Jack Layton and the NDP immediately called for a pullout of Afghanistan as the casualties went out, Shayes made his request, and Chayes started selling her book.

Canada is hoping for a pullout based on not enough NATO troops and equipment-it's excuse for not being able to participate. 18 months looks good and the danger pay issue(there should be combat pay above the danger pay as they are in combat in a war, not peacekeeping) and the requirement of new recruits to serve two years in Afghanistan before getting a trade while the existing troops avoid the service is not popular. Rumor is the Canadian military has changed it's mind and does'nt think Afghaistan is a place to stay and make money. So, do we have a military not willing to serve or a coup? The real answer is the military is refusing to serve in Aghanistan and new recruits are paying for existing soldiers avoidance of service and pay and promotions. In effect, the military is saying it won't fight in a war even if there is combat pay.

As far as the British, it appears their commander did'nt study his politics in Canada before making announcements.

NATO is basically considered old and there never really was a Canadian or military committment, so after the PM goes, we'll see Canada leave with, probably, the same excuse.
