Arab Propaganda:the Source of ISLAMIC HATRED

Impact of Arab Propaganda.
by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/news.php3?id=113341
Former IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Ya'alon believes that Arab propaganda against Israel's right to exist has found purchase even in Israeli society itself.
"Arab propaganda strengthens claims against the legitimacy of the existence of a Jewish State," Ya'alon said, "and, very unfortunately, these claims are even seeping into Israeli society, and among the Israeli youth who find themselves in a crisis of identity and of ignorance of the history of the Jewish people." (After the Oslo Agreement, the Israeli education system stoped teaching Jewish youth about Zionism, Jewish aspirations and rights, as well as the connection of Jewish people with the land of our ancestors. At the same time, Arabs do not abide by any agreement and the hate and terror is taught daily in their schools!)
Ya'alon continued, "Beyond military and economic strength, the key to Israeli national well-being is education to values and to a Jewish Zionist identity…"
In an address to the Zionist Organization of America in May of this year, General Ya'alon said: "In Israel, we must consolidate our Jewish Zionist narrative. Without believing in our case, there is no way to convince someone else." (Muslim and Western anti-Israel propaganda in Israel and Jewish communities would not be so successful if not for the lack of direction and its ideological bankruptcy of Israel governments. It is the apathy of Jewish leadership that could bring about the demise of Jewish society world-wide!)
US Supplies Fatah with Arms: Thousands of M-16 assault rifles, made in the U.S., were delivered to Fatah forces in Judea and Samaria as part of a Western aid package.
Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
According to a Chinese saying, a Disaster creates Opportunities. The Nuclear test conducted by North Korea created such an opportunity. It is the opportunity for the unification of the Korean people, the decisive destruction of the Iranian Nuclear program and the opportunity for the Western alliance to leave both Afghanistan and Iraq and let those blood-thirsty monsters kill themselves. The lesson is that diplomacy does not work where the regimes driven by schizophrenic ideology are concerned. It is time to implement the Containment plan (see below) and stop Islamic expansionism.
Peace Settlement would not Change Wahabi Fanatics. Former CIA Director James Woolsey said: "The impact of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has some importance but in reality it is much further down the line of causes of the current support for terrorism... I think you could have an Israeli-Palestinian settlement tomorrow, and the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia would still be fanatically anti-Shi'ite, anti-Sufi, anti-Jewish, anti-democracy, anti-Christian, anti-female, anti-music, and so would al-Qaeda be." (RadioFreeEurope/RadioLiberty) (This surprisingly honest opinion could change the minds of many people, if only anyone would listen!)
Soros Mulls AIPAC Alternative. Billionaire George Soros is considering funding a dovish, pro-Israel alternative to AIPAC, JTA has learned. His Representatives met in late September with leaders of dovish pro-Israel groups in Washington and discussed setting up an alternative to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. (I am not a great fan of most Jewish organizations. Many of them put too much emphasis on Political correctness and do not pay enough attention to the rights and the future of the Jewish people. Creation of another group will facilitate more confusion, disunity and stupidity! But, it will pat someone's ego.)
Quote of the Week.
"Kill the Jews - kill them with your hands, kill them with your teeth - this is well pleasing to Allah." - Haj Amin al Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Arafat's uncle, screaming to Hitler on Berlin Radio in 1942.
About Daily Humiliation. U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza at the dinner organized by the American Task Force on Palestine: "The Palestinian people deserve a better life, a life that is rooted in liberty, democracy, uncompromised by violence and terrorism, unburdened by corruption and misrule and forever free of the daily humiliation of occupation," (Yes, it is time to stop the "daily humiliation" to which Jews have been subjected to by Arabs and International community for almost 60 years. Arabs must end occupation of all Jewish land and leave Eretz-Israel.)
Call for Peace. More than 130 retired world leaders and diplomats called for an international conference on Middle East peace. "We believe the time has come for a new international conference…" The premise of the conference would include a Palestinian Authority unity government that includes Hamas representation, an end to the P.A.'s isolation and the inclusion of Syria and Lebanon in the talks. (None of them expressed deep concern for on going genocide in Darfor, Sudan and for the war in Congo. The emerging new Nuclear regime also does not bother them! This is just another International Israel bashing ploy!)
Sharansky quitting politics. Natan Sharansky, former Soviet refusenik-turned-Likud lawmaker, is quitting Israeli politics. He is expected to take up a full-time position at the Shalem Center, a conservative Jerusalem think tank. Sharansky was one of the best-known Jewish dissidents in the former Soviet Union. Having spent many years in KGB custody, he was released in 1986 and moved to Israel. He resigned from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's government last year to protest the looming Gaza Strip withdrawal. (Was he pushed out, tired of useless political bickering or has he just found better pastures?)
The Containment Plan.
by Steven Shamrak
We hear quite often that it is the fault of the West that the Muslim world hates us so much. They claim that it is the Western demands for implementation of democracy, perceived as arrogance by Muslims, which are responsible for the escalation of Muslim terrorism worldwide. They say that the Muslims feel disrespected and insulted by Western superiority and the life style which the West tries to impose on the Muslim world. The message of hate toward the West is loud and clear!
I am totally sympathetic with their concerns and agree that we, Western countries, must not impose our values on our Muslim neighbours. We must completely refrain from interference in their way of life!
If the governments of Muslim countries and their population do not want to live by and obey the rules of mutual respect and peaceful co-existence with other nations, cultures and religions, we must let them live the way they desire! Therefore, total isolation must be imposed upon them and we have to let them live in complete and total disengagement from us.
They want to live in accordance with and under Shirea Law, a genuine Muslim life style and in an environment of malignant terror and hate. Let them enjoy it in complete self-containment! The wishes of the countries and people who hate us so much should be respected by the Western society. We must allow them to maintain their ignorant life style and let them impose terror and hate on themselves only. This is the Containment Plan:
1. Start active development and implementation of alternative sources of energy, with complete dedication of financial and human resources.
The benefits: It will make a cleaner environment; Political and economical independence from the Arab oil; Remove a tool of Arab blackmail; Reduce financing of terror; Engender a positive and healthy economical balance and quality of life.
2. Intensify the war against drug trafficking from Muslim countries.
The benefits: It will improve Public health; Reduce the drugs for arms terror trade.
3. Suspend immigration from Muslim countries and deport the radical and criminal Islamic elements to the countries of their or their parent's origin.
The benefits: It will prevent the deliberate Muslimisation process of Western society; Stop the spreading of locally grown Islamic terrorism; Allow the freedom of expression in the Western Muslim communities.
4. Stop sale of advanced arms and technology to Muslim countries.
The benefits: It will prevent escalation of terror and the transfer of advanced technology to the hands of terror fostering Muslim states; It will reduce the chance of development of WMD.
5. Reduce political, cultural and trade contacts. So far, those contacts have not encouraged Muslim societies to build democracy. Quite the opposite, as a result of these contacts, hostility toward the West has increased.
The benefits: It will reduce cultural pollution of Western and Muslim societies.
6. If nothing else works, stop all trade, cultural and political contacts with the worst offenders, like Iran and Saudi Arabia. Impose blockades.
The benefits: If their hatred of the West so great and the West is so bad, they must not enjoy produce of the "evil" - "Western regimes!

The Rulers of Israel.
1) PM Ehud Olmert is linked to yet another suspicious real estate deal. A home registered in his wife's name was sold in 1996 to American business tycoon Uri Harkham of Los Angeles, for the amount of $650,000. Harkham sold the property on Sept 20, 2000 for $400,000.
2) The police investigation of President Moshe Katzav has widened to include allegations of wiretapping, fraud and breach of public trust. The police have been investigating President Katzav because of allegations of sexual misconduct brought by two women.
When the press is in bed with a Corrupt Government. Haaretz Editor David Landau speaking on 28 September at a conference at Bar Ilan University said: "The Haaretz newspaper supported the disengagement in order to stop the corruption that resulted from the continued occupation of Gaza (he meant: removal of the Jews from the Jewish land), it was possible to ignore small corruption (he meant: grabby, greedy and unscrupulous left-wind politicians, who do not care about future of Israel and Jews)." (…journalists like him have no professional integrity also!)
Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert suggested that the definition of Zionism needed to be severely diluted to accommodate the self-hating political left. – No one has the right to change the more than 2000 years of Jewish inspiration, especially a person of his gutless and corrupt stature!
Making the World a Better Place. An Israeli expert in vegetables and field crops, Yigal Cohen received the "Mountain of the Sky Award", the highest award for excellence given by China to foreign experts who provide an extraordinary contribution to the development of Shinjiang province.
Lebanon was not an Innocent Victim. Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora said that Hizbollah would not be disarmed "for as long as Israel was occupying a part of Lebanon". "The Israeli occupation justifies the existence of Hizbollah".
Not Bad for "Little Sh..y Country". The Israel economy has been ranked as number 15 in the world by the WEF (the World Economic Forum), rising 8 places with respect to its previous rank. Israel is also ranked as number 3 in the class of "Openness to technology."
Political Comedians. French FM Douste-Blazy was able to say with a straight face that Iran is a great force for stability in the Middle East. That one surely brought down the house, especially when President Ahmadinejad, our answer to the "soup Nazi," said (again) that Israel should be destroyed. Not to be outdone, his boss, President Chirac, said that Iran is a great country and recommended negotiations rather than sanctions… http://www.zionism-israel.com/log/archives/00000244.html
Quote of the Week.
"To successfully resist influence of others, knowledge of oneself is most important!" – statement made by Teal'c, an alien from "StarGate SG-1".
We Have No Partners for Peace. Defense Minister Amir Peretz, who is one of the early leaders of the "peace camp," told the Palestinian-Israeli Peace Forum: "It's not the case that Israel has rejected partners for peace. It's more correct to understand that every time Israel sought a partner over the past year, there wasn't one available." In his address, he said that all factions within the PA refused to take responsibility for the rockets barraging Israel.
Where are the Peace-Loving and Self-Hating Hypocrites? Last week an al-Qaida-linked group posted a Web video showing the bodies of two U.S. soldiers being dragged behind a truck and set on fire. Another al-Qaida related group in Iraq - posted a video in June showing soldiers' mutilated bodies and claiming it killed them. The video showed masked men dragging the corpses, first by hand, then behind a truck, beheading one of them and then setting them on fire. (…why are they silent when purveyors of Islamic terrorism brag about their hateful monstrous deeds?)
Islamic Infiltration. The Hezbollah group invading Venezuela is doing its work openly on the Venezuelan side of the Guajira Peninsula. The Islamic fanatics of Hezbollah are rapidly indoctrinating the members of the Wayuu tribe in order to convert them to Islam. http://venezuelatoday.net/gustavo-coronel/hezbollah+venezuela_hugo-chavez_syria-iran_wmd+terrorism.html
Gaza Arms. Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin told the Cabinet on Wednesday that since Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip last year around 20 tons of military-grade explosives and hundreds of rifles have reached Gaza from Egypt. Terrorist factions are trying to bring in advanced anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, with Egyptian authorities doing enough to stop the flow.
Living in Fear, in Jerusalem. Fearing violence by Muslim mobs fired-up by the Ramadan sermons now being delivered daily atop Jerusalem's Temple Mount, Israeli authorities have instructed Jewish residents of parts of the capital's Old City to remain indoors during the evening hours. (Why are Muslims not instructed to stay indoors in the Jewish state?)
Why is it Always Later? Pakistan's leader said week ago that his nation will one day recognize and establish formal ties with Israel, but not until the Jewish state first surrenders its biblical heartland to the so-called "Palestinians."
Arabs did Recognized Israel in 1919. By Chuck Morse.
The Arab position is that Jewish settlements on the West Bank and Gaza are "illegal" because they interfere with the right, usually articulated with vague references to international law, of the Arabs to create an all-Arab state west of the Jordan. In addition, over 50% of the Arab population on the West Bank and Gaza, according to a recent poll, support the idea of Arab control over all of "historic Palestine" which is to say they support Israel's destruction. History stands witness to the falseness of these claims.
The fact is that the international community, including the emerging Arab nations, recognized Israel at the 1919 Paris Peace Conference which was held by the victorious Allies in order to settle international questions after the 1918 Armistice ended World War-I. An official Arab and Zionist delegation, as well as delegations from nations and groups from around the world, were invited to attend the conference. The head of the Arab delegation, Emir Feisal, great-grandfather of Abdallah, the present King of Jordan, agreed that "Palestine" would be the Jewish homeland.
Feisal accepted the British Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917, which afforded recognition to a Jewish national homeland, and agreed with the Zionist delegation stating, "All such measures shall be adopted as we afford the fullest guarantee of carrying into effect the British Government's Balfour Declaration." Emir Feisal confirmed this determination in a March 3, 1919…
Footnote: Following WWI, the League of Nations established a system of "Mandates." In theory, the Mandate system had the benevolent intention of preparing the "natives" of various regions for self government. The basis of the mandate system was Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations. The Palestine Mandate was formalized on July 24, 1922: "Whereas the Principal Allied Powers have also agreed that the Mandatory should be responsible for putting into effect the declaration originally made on November 2nd, 1917, by the Government of His Britannic Majesty, and adopted by the said Powers, in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people…" – If Arab countries and the rest of the world refuse to recognize the right of Jews to all Palestine, they must reject the benefits of Arab statehoods, as they are all based on the same League of Nations' Mandate system. http://www.mideastweb.org/mandate.htm

War SignalsAs reports circulate of a sharp debate within the White House over possible US military action against Iran and its nuclear enrichment facilities, The Nation has learned that the Bush Administration and the Pentagon have issued orders for a major "strike group" of ships, including the nuclear aircraft carrier Eisenhower as well as a cruiser, destroyer, frigate, submarine escort and supply ship, to head for the Persian Gulf, just off Iran's western coast. This information follows a report in the current issue of Time magazine, both online and in print, that a group of ships capable of mining harbors has received orders to be ready to sail for the Persian Gulf by October 1.As Time writes in its cover story, "What Would War Look Like?," evidence of the forward deployment of minesweepers and word that the chief of naval operations had asked for a reworking of old plans for mining Iranian harbors "suggest that a much discussed--but until now largely theoretical--prospect has become real: that the U.S. may be preparing for war with Iran."According to Lieut. Mike Kafka, a spokesman at the headquarters of the Second Fleet, based in Norfolk, Virginia, the Eisenhower Strike Group, bristling with Tomahawk cruise missiles, has received recent orders to depart the United States in a little over a week. Other official sources in the public affairs office of the Navy Department at the Pentagon confirm that this powerful armada is scheduled to arrive off the coast of Iran on or around October 21.
Hezbollah moving rockets near Israeli borderJERUSALEM ? Hezbollah has been transporting rockets and heavy weaponry to Palestinian camps in south Lebanon just a few miles from the Israeli border, according to Lebanese officials. The officials told WND the office of Lebanese Prime Minister Faud Sinora sent a letter last week to Abbas Zakir, the Palestinian Authority's most senior representative in Lebanon, outlining the alleged Hezbollah weapons transfers into Palestinian camps. The letter noted "unusual activity" in and near the Palestinian camps, including the coming and going of trucks suspected of carrying weapons. Palestinian groups, including Fatah and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, maintain armed bases in Lebanon, mostly in the al-Naemeh province just south of Beirut and in the Bekaa Valley, near Lebanon's border with Syria and Israel. Fatah is the party of PA President Mahmoud Abbas.
Ginko, Lapidot discover oil at Dead Sea drilling siteOil spurted Monday at a depth of about 1,800 meters during drilling near the Dead Sea. The drilling was planned only to reach 2,000 meters. Drilling partners, Ginko Oil Exploration and Lapidot (20 percent) are expected to carry out a series of tests in the coming days in order to estimate the quantity of oil found in the drilling, and its value. It should be noted that crude oil, about 120,000 barrels, has already been extracted from this same drilling site in 1995. Drilling was renewed following the rise in oil prices, and as a first stage in preparation for drilling in Ginko's licensed drilling areas in the Dead Sea, particularly in the area of Zerach. Ginko declined responding to reports of its renewed oil findings at the site, but notified that the essence of the tests that will be performed in the coming days revolve around checking the static pressure in the oil strata, and its rate of change. Renewal of drilling in areas from which crude oil was extracted in the past has become a new world trend in the face of high price of oil, which increases profitability of such oil extraction. Ginko is prepared for extraction at this particular drilling site and has already acquired pipelines and containers for transporting the extracted fuel.
RUSSIA OFFERS SAMs TO PROTECT NUKES MOSCOW [MENL] -- Russia, pledging to complete the Busheher reactor, has offered to sell a range of surface-to-air missile systems to protect Iran's nuclear facilities.Russian diplomatic and industry sources said Moscow has been negotiating to sell Iran a range of anti-aircraft systems to protect Bushehr from Israeli or U.S. air strikes. The sources said contracts could be signed when Bushehr was ready to begin operations in a move expected to take place in late 2007."Russia has already installed and manned SAM systems around Bushehr," a diplomatic source said. "The current talks regard an air defense umbrella that would protect all strategic sites in Iran."
Iranian Report on Russian Military Maneuver 'to Protect Iran From Possible U.S. Attack'The Russian military recently held its annual RUBEZH ("Border") maneuver in the Caspian Sea region. The Iranian website Baztab, affiliated with Expediency Council Secretary and former Revolutionary Guards commander Mohsen Rezai, presented the maneuver, based on a report in the Central Asian press, as aiming to prepare the Russian army to respond to a possible U.S. military assault on Iran. "The maneuver, called 'RUBEZH 2006,' [which included] 2,500 troops from the armed forces of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, was held last week (August 24-29) in the port of Aqtau, [Kazakhstan]... on the basis of the 'Collective Security Treaty' [CST]. UN Chief Warns of Global War Over Religion, Says Only UN can Solve World's ProblemsNEW YORK, September 21, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - On Tuesday, Secretary General Kofi Annan delivered his final address to the United Nations General Assembly before he retires at the end of the year. During the speech, which comes on the heels of the media-generated controversy regarding Pope Benedict XVI?s quoting of a text on Islam, Annan said, ?insensitivity towards other people?s beliefs or sacred symbols ?- intentional or otherwise -- is seized upon by those who seem eager to foment a new war of religion on a global scale.??Moreover, this climate of fear and suspicion is constantly refuelled by the violence in the Middle East?, he said, adding: ?We might like to think of the Arab-Israeli conflict as just one regional conflict amongst many. But it is not. No other conflict carries such a powerful symbolic and emotional charge among people far removed from the battlefield.?Annan sees the United Nations as the only solution to the world?s woes. ?Yes, I remain convinced that the only answer to this divided world must be a truly United Nations?, he said.
Documents disclose 'shadow government'Government documents released by a Freedom of Information Act request reveal the Bush administration is running a "shadow government" with Mexico and Canada in which the U.S. is crafting a broad range of policy in conjunction with its neighbors to the north and south, asserts WND columnist and author Jerome R. Corsi. The documents, a total of about 1,000 pages, are among the first to be released to Corsi through his FOIA request to the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP, which describes itself as an initiative "to increase security and to enhance prosperity among the three countries through greater cooperation."
'Shadow' agency to issue N. American border passesThe Department of Transportation, acting through a Security and Prosperity Partnership "working group," is preparing in 2007 to issue North American biometric border passes to Mexican, Canadian, and U.S. "trusted travelers" according to documents released to WND columnist and author Jerome R. Corsi under a Freedom of Information Act request. "The FOIA documents show the organizational chart and the composition of a 'shadow Department of Transportation' which includes formal membership from Mexico and Canada's Departments of Transportation," asserts Corsi.
Cemetery to bury all, Christians too, facing MeccaA new, $4.7 million cemetery in Nottingham is the first public graveyard in the UK to have all its burial plots aligned with Mecca and to inter those of all faiths in the Muslim tradition. All headstones at the 40-acre burial site will face northeast, enabling the dead to look over their shoulder toward Mecca, the manner prescribed for followers of Islam in the UK. Church leaders have criticized the decision by local officials, saying that imposing a Muslim model on Christians, who traditionally are buried facing east, is discriminatory. "This is a sensitive issue to all people. I hope the situation will be reviewed with wide consultation and a policy introduced that takes account of the needs of all," the Rt. Rev. George Cassidy, bishop of Southwell and Nottingham, told the London Daily Mail.
VeggieTales too Christian for NBCThe wildly popular VeggieTales kids videos about vegetables who talk and sing and act out Bible stories are being edited for their run on NBC's Saturday morning educational program time, and the network says it's because of time limits. But the creator says that's not exactly the case, and viewers will have to decide for themselves whether the result is good or bad. NBC has been under pressure from several family groups and others because of a couple of recent decisions that appear to have a bias against Christianity. One issue has been the editing of the VeggieTales videos, Big Idea productions which now are in a regular slot on NBC, Telemundo and the i network as part of the new Qubo programming block.
RFID boom time aheadInvestment in RFID technologies in sectors such as the automotive, aerospace and manufacturing industries is set to skyrocket. Those sectors in Europe alone generated revenues of $23.7m in 2005, with analyst house Frost & Sullivan claiming this figure will reach $109.3m by 2012.However, ROI is more difficult to quantify, with expectations of the benefits of RFID implementation often being unrealistic. The success of RFID implementation is dependent on the degree of integration into business processes, the Frost & Sullivan report claims.RFID is also known for its high implementation costs and this has led to slow uptake of the technology.
Top ID cards job goes to Accenture's NHS IT manThe Home Office has appointed an Accenture managing partner to head up the Identity and Passport Service (IPS) and oversee the introduction of the national ID cards programme.James Hall will take up his post as the first CEO of the newly created IPS on 11 October and will have overall responsibility for the operation and management of the agency, including the ID cards scheme.Hall has been with Accenture and its previous incarnations since 1976 and was appointed a managing partner for the UK in 1994. From 2000 he spent five years as managing partner with responsibility for technology and systems integration across Accenture and was most recently responsible for the company's £2bn contracts for the NHS IT programme.Hall will sit on the Home Office's executive board and will report to permanent secretary Sir David Normington.
Bank data seized in e-card scamCyber crooks are using e-cards that appear to come from a secret admirer in a scam to collect sensitive personal information, a security expert has warned.Data including credit card numbers, online banking credentials, and login names and passwords of thousands of individuals from Australia and the US has already been collected in the scam, Roger Thompson, chief technology officer at security software maker Exploit Prevention Labs, said in an interview on Wednesday. The attacks involve email messages that at first glance appear to be greeting cards from services such as Blue Mountain or Yahoo!, Thompson said. Clicking on the link to view the card, however, first sends the target to a malicious website that tries to silently install keylogger software, he said. After that the card is displayed.
Peek at NSA's Secret Reading ListThe tantalizing tables of contents to the best spy magazines you'll probably never get to read have been posted online, thanks to a Freedom of Information Act request that pried open four classified National Security Agency publications.Written specifically for NSA employees, the articles listed in the online indexes date back as far as 1956. Stories include an analysis of the TRS-80 Model 1's password-encryption algorithm, accounts of how Soviet codes were broken, analyses of bad management techniques within the sprawling eavesdropping agency, and an insider's view of North Korea's capture of the spy boat U.S.S. Pueblo in 1968.The Memory Hole, a website dedicated to ferreting out and publishing government documents, posted the indexes from Cryptologic Quarterly, Cryptologic Almanac, Cryptologic Spectrum and NSA Technical Journal on Monday. The lists were obtained following a smartly targeted FOIA request filed by researcher Michael Ravnitzky in 2003.
Shops 'must tell consumers how to disable RFID tags'The UK's information watchdog has warned companies using RFID to make sure they're playing nicely with data protection legislation - even if it means telling consumers how to disable the tags. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has published a guidance for enterprises setting out how they must deal with individuals' data when it becomes linked to RFID tags - whether they're found attached to goods in a supermarket or on smartcards such as the Oyster card.Businesses with RFID systems in place or those thinking of deploying them should be complying with best practices, according to the ICO, as well as making sure they abide by the Data Protection Act.

Dear Friend of Jerusalem,
Listen now! This past weekend, the world was treated to the latest wave of Islamic extremism. Recall that Round One involved the Danish Cartoon Riots. Now we reached Round Two, involving a Muslim world that deliberately misquoted remarks by Pope Benedict XVI.Despite the Pope's presentation of his words, radical Muslims took the Pope's words out of context and used them as an excuse to riot.Over the past week, at least six churches were firebombed by Palestinians; an elderly nun was murdered in Somalia, and death threats were hurled against the Pope by Islamic religious leaders.William Donohue is the President of the Catholic League, and represents hundreds of thousands of Catholics across the United States. In recent days, Bill has received much television and radio air time and has debated representatives of CAIR and other Muslim spokesmen.Bill kindly agreed to talk with our blogger network. Click here to listen to Bill's clear and straightforward message of intellectual reason and right. Bill explains what the Pope really said.A few highlights of the call:1) The Pope is an intellectual. He was and is fully aware of what he said, and its implications. 2) The Pope criticized the secularists for lacking faith. At the same time, the Pope pointed out that faith must be coupled with, and backed by, reason. Faith unhinged from reason leaves a trail of blood. This was the critical reference to un-anchored radical Islam.3) Until tolerance and respect are inculcated into a given people, there is not much hope for dialogue. Dialogue is a means to an end, not an end in and of itself (editor's note - tell that to Jacques Chirac!!).For more comprehensive summaries of the conference call, check out some of the other bloggers on the call: Pamela at Atlas Shrugs, Jim at Gateway Pundit, Jerry Gordon at Israpundit, and Omri at Mere Rhetoric.Sincerely,

Kissinger warns of possible "war of civilizations"

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger warned that Europe and the United States must unite to head off a "war of civilizations" arising from a nuclear-armed Middle East.

In an opinion column in the Washington Post, the renowned foreign policy expert said the potential for a "global catastrophe" dwarfed lingering transatlantic mistrust left over from the Iraq war.

"A common Atlantic policy backed by moderate Arab states must become a top priority, no matter how pessimistic previous experience with such projects leaves one," Kissinger wrote.

"The debate sparked by the Iraq war over American rashness vs. European escapism is dwarfed by what the world now faces.

"Both sides of the Atlantic should put their best minds together on how to deal with the common danger of a wider war merging into a war of civilizations against the background of a nuclear-armed Middle East."More >

Al-Qaida warns Muslims: Time to get out of U.S.
The new al-Qaida field commander in Afghanistan is calling for Muslims to leave the U.S. ? particularly Washington and New York ? in anticipation of a major terror attack to rival Sept. 11, according to an interview by a Pakistani journalist.

Abu Dawood told Hamid Mir, a reporter who has covered al-Qaida and met with Osama bin Laden, the attack is being coordinated by Adnan el-Shukrijumah and suggests it may involve some form of weapon of mass destruction smuggled across the Mexican border.

"Our brothers are ready to attack inside America. We will breach their security again," he is quoted as saying. "There is no timeframe for our attack inside America; we can do it any time."

As WND has previously reported, el-Shukrijumah is a trained nuclear technician and accomplished pilot who has been singled out by bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri to serve as the field commander for the next terrorist attack on U.S. soil. More >

Muslims demand pope convert to Islam
Christian churches in the Middle East are vandalized, a Catholic nun in Africa is killed and Muslims have demanded that the pope convert to Islam ? all because he read a quote from a medieval text that described Islam as "evil and inhuman."

The pope has issued an apology for even referencing the historic text, emphasized that those views are not his, but still many in the Islamic world are demanding blood.

A new group called "The sword of Islam" contacted reporters and said it had fired gunshots at a Christian church in the Middle East during a demonstration over the comments. More >

Jeru-salaam, -shalom & -salem,

Could you kindly comment, whether my details are correct in a dissident essay concerning the recent scaling up of production in the Israeli high Tech companies in:
http://www.helsinki.fi/~pjojala/Expelled-Jews-statistics.htm ?

E.g. "...The population of Arabs under the Israeli government increased ten-fold in only 57 years. Palestinian life expectancy increased from 48 to 72 years in 1967-95. The death rate decreased by over 2/3 in 1970-90 and the Israeli medical campaigns decreased the child death rate from a level of 60 per 1000 in 1968 to 15 per 1000 in 2000 at the Westbank. (An analogous figure was 64 in Iraq, 40 in Egypt, 23 in Jordan, and 22 in Syria in 2000). During 1967-88 the amount of comprehensive schoold and second level polytechnic institutes for the Arabs was increased by 35%. During 1970-86 the proportion of Palestinian women at the West Bank and Gaza not having gone to school decreased from 67 % to 32 %. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita in West Bank and Gaza increased in 1968-1991 from 165 US dollars to 1715 dollars (compare with 1630$ in Turkey, 1440$ in Tunis, 1050$ in Jordan, 800$ in Syria, 600$ in Egypt. and 400$ in Yemen).

Before the Second Intifada, there were nearly 200 Israeli companies listed in the Nasdaq, at the Intifada the count dropped to 70. (The number is still greater than from all the European countries combined). It is said that the dollars are green since the Americans pull them down from the tree raw and fresh. The start-ups are imported straight from the garage, and scaling up of production in the "conflict hotspot" has been considered impossible. But the new Millennium has brought a change in tide.

As an example, the supranational Intel transferred the mass production of Centricon-processors to Israel, where ~20% of citizens possess university decrees (ranking 3rd in the world) but where the environment respects patents and are not plagiating every item they produce to others like the rocketting China. Intel was also offered an overall tax rate of 10%, which is about three times lower than that of US..."
